A proud history. A strong community. A passion for soccer.
Located at Sid Bigg Park, at the corner of Tallai and Old Coach Roads in Mudgeeraba, Mudgeeraba Soccer Club (MSC) has a proud history of bringing people together through sport and community.
Our story began in 1979, when the Mudgeeraba Sports Club was established with a mission to foster and encourage junior sport in the local community.
The inaugural meeting of the Mudgeeraba Sports Club was held on 22 May 1979. Following the successful application for a lease at Sid Bigg Park, the club’s foundation members initially established tennis, table tennis and cricket.
In late 1979, a highly successful fundraising dinner helped pave the way for soccer to become part of the club. Mudgeeraba Soccer Club played its first games in 1980, marking the beginning of a journey that has continued to grow for more than four decades.
Growing Through the Years
Since those early days, Mudgeeraba Soccer Club has developed into one of the Gold Coast’s established soccer communities, achieving numerous premierships and producing a significant number of representative players.
The clubhouse was built in 1986, and senior soccer was introduced in 1987, marking important milestones in the club’s development.
Today, MSC has grown to more than 650 registered players, providing opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to participate, develop and compete.
Our teams span a broad range of competitions, including:
- Junior Soccer: From our youngest Joeys and MiniRoos to youth teams competing up to U18.
- Senior Men’s Soccer: Including FQPL3 and community competitions.
- Women’s Soccer: Providing opportunities for women to participate, develop and compete.
More Than a Soccer Club
While our history and achievements are an important part of who we are, our greatest strength is our community.
Mudgeeraba Soccer Club is proudly run by volunteers who give their time, energy and passion to make the club what it is today. From committee members and coaches to team managers, parents and supporters, everyone plays a part in creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
We believe soccer is about more than winning games. It’s about building friendships, developing confidence, encouraging teamwork and creating opportunities for players to enjoy the game at every stage of their journey.
Our yellow and black colours and our local wallaby mascot represent the pride, identity and community spirit that bring us together.
Our Future
From our first games in 1980 to the club we are today, Mudgeeraba Soccer Club continues to build on the foundations established by those who came before us.
We remain committed to providing opportunities for future generations of players, supporting the development of local talent and maintaining the strong community spirit that has always been at the heart of MSC.
Whether you’re a player, parent, volunteer, supporter or sponsor, you are part of our story.
One club. One community. #WeAreMudgeeraba
Mudgeeraba Soccer Club or “MSC” is proudly operated by a team of volunteers that are passionate about their community and the opportunity to provide a development pathway for local footballers.
